Tryon Farm is a residential conservation community located on 150 acres of rolling prairie, dunes, wetland and forest in Northwest Indiana. The property is 1-hour from Chicago, 10 minutes from historic downtown Michigan City, 10 minutes from charming New Buffalo and 1-1/2 miles from Lake Michigan beaches.
The community is a mix of both full-time and part-time residents. Modern homes are carefully situated in the natural Indiana habitat so that over three fourths of the property is free of structures and preserved for nature. Native birds, animals and plants are abundant.
Our community partners are the Tyron Farm Institute, focused on land conservation and habitat restoration, and Edward Noonan & Associates, the active developer of Tryon Farm.
Tryon Farm is a welcoming community. The property is designed to encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors, and many residents are actively involved in preservation and restoration efforts. Community activities such as pot-lucks, outdoor movie viewings and bonfires are common for those who want to attend, and happy hours in the garden occur each Saturday whenever the weather allows.
